Local Store Featuring a Local Author

If you visit GG’s Art Frames Gifts, you are sure to find something you like. “We have a little of everything for everybody”, says Gloria Hager, owner of GG’s. The store has a wide variety of better-known gift brands, as well as items from local artisans. “We’ve always supported local artists and authors”, says Gloria. One of these authors is Bill Pope, whose book launched at GG’s. “Books was my first love”, Gloria said, “so it’s come all the way around to where I started”.

Bill Pope, who some may already know as a lawyer in Statesville, recently wrote These You Know. While Bill is a lawyer by trade, he says that most of the stories are not about law. “It’s a collection of stories, each of which is about something”, said Bill. He shared that the stories were not written with any specific people in mind, but that all the characters are people you might find in any small town.
