“Rdell – That’s How We Say It ‘Round Here”

When local Iredell County residents Mark & Marla Faulkenberry started to hear the name “Iredell” pronounced incorrectly, they decided to do something about it. After tossing around the idea for a while, they came up with Rdell Clothing – a clothing shop, selling items that show the “correct” way to pronounce Iredell. “It was more about the Rdell than anything”, said Marla, “It was a fun way to express how we locals say ‘Iredell’”.

Rdell Clothing sells fun merchandise from t-shirts and hats, to stickers and koozies. As for the fun designs, “my wife comes up with 99.9% of those”, Mark shares. Rdell Clothing can be found in a few local stores: Fort Dobbs Hardware, Lowry’s in Harmony, GG’s in Statesville, Sweetgrass in Mooresville. The clothing company is also frequently at area events with their merchandise, or products can be bought through their website.
