Road Closure for Emergency Sewer Repair on Gaither Road

The City of Statesville is responding to an emergency sewer repair in the 700 block of Gaither Road near the Days Inn.

Beginning immediately, Gaither Road is closed at the intersections of Tonewood Street and Gaither Road and Radio Road and Gaither Road. Through traffic will not be permitted. Access will be limited to local businesses only.

The repair is expected to take a minimum of 6–8 hours, although the roadway will reopen as soon as the work is safely completed.

Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area, use alternate routes, and follow all posted traffic control devices.
