Statesville Heritage Festival (Saturday, August 1, 2026)

Celebrating America 250 through Stories, Culture, and Community

The Statesville Heritage Festival, presented by the City Of Statesville, is a community celebration that brings people together through culture, history, food, music, storytelling, and shared experiences.

As part of the nationwide America 250 commemoration, this festival honors the many people, traditions, and contributions that have shaped both our nation and our local community. Throughout the day, visitors will have opportunities to explore cultural exhibits, enjoy live entertainment, participate in hands-on activities, connect with local organizations, and learn about the stories that make Statesville unique. Statesville Bookbag Giveaway (Saturday, August 1, 2026)

Our annual Bookbag Giveaway is designed to help local students begin the school year with confidence by providing free backpacks filled with essential school supplies. Thanks to the generosity of community members, local businesses, civic organizations, and volunteers, hundreds of students receive the tools they need to be successful in the classroom each year. Stage D2 Extreme Drought Continues; Water Restrictions still in Effect

The City of Statesville has reduced its water shortage response level to Stage 2 following improved drought conditions and guidance from state drought officials. Read more here.

🔹Fire Program Coordinator (Part-Time): This position is responsible for performing a variety of intermediate-level technical and administrative tasks to support the Fire Department's operations.
