Celebrating Excellence: Ivan Philips Earns North Carolina Airport Professional Credential
Statesville Regional Airport is proud to recognize Airport Maintenance Supervisor Ivan Philips for achieving the prestigious North Carolina Airport Professional Certificate.
Ivan joins fellow team members John Ferguson, Airport Manager, and Carissa Barnette, Office Manager at the Statesville Regional Airport, in earning this distinguished credential, highlighting the airport’s ongoing commitment to excellence and professional development.
The North Carolina Airport Professional designation is awarded through the Airport Leadership and Management Program (ALMP) - a comprehensive training initiative developed by NC AirTAP in partnership with the NCDOT Division of Aviation. This program is designed for both new and experienced airport professionals, particularly those involved in managing and operating general aviation facilities.
Through ALMP, participants complete a series of 12 courses covering essential topics in airport management and operations. To earn the credential, individuals must successfully complete at least nine of these courses, demonstrating a strong commitment to advancing their knowledge and skills.
Ivan’s accomplishment reflects his dedication to maintaining high standards at Statesville Regional Airport and his passion for continued learning. We congratulate Ivan on this achievement and celebrate the growing team of certified professionals who help keep our airport operating at its best.
