Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We’ve done over 150 escape rooms across the country, and The Key to Escape in Statesville has easily earned a place in our top five! We completed all three rooms — Twist of Oz, Under Pressure, and Top Shelf Elf — and every single one was a masterpiece. Twist of Oz blew us away right from the start — the vibrant colors, incredible set design, and tech elements made it feel like we’d stepped into another world. Next came Under Pressure, which turned out to be the best escape room we’ve ever done. There’s so much to do, so much to see, and a massive twist that you’ll never see coming (you’ll just have to experience it for yourself!). Finally, Top Shelf Elf was pure Christmas magic. The tech and creativity in this room are off the charts — perfect for puzzle lovers who also enjoy a few surprises. Our five-year-old daughter Layla (who’s already done 40 rooms herself!) had an absolute blast helping us solve clues in every game. Roger, the owner, went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing experience, and our game master Addison made the last room an unforgettable adventure. Both were outstanding — truly the best hosts we’ve ever had in all 150+ rooms we’ve played. If you love escape rooms, or even if it’s your first time, The Key to Escape is a must-visit destination.
