Lucy is our longest standing animal ambassador! Having arrived in March of 2013, she is our first snake at Rescue Ranch and she has been a part of our mission since before our Education Building was built.

Lucy has been an integral part of our education programs since the very beginning. Teaching individuals all about snakes - how to properly care for them, their unique adaptations, the important roles they play in the environment and everything in between.

Choosing to spend her days tucked into a corner (Ball Pythons are naturally a reclusive species), Lucy does enjoy a nice soak in her water bowl and will become especially active when her enclosure is being cleaned and misted with warm water. She is a curious snake and environmental enrichment is one of the best ways to make sure she stays active and healthy - this includes engaging with guest during tours and our educational programs!
