Statesville Police Department Welcomes Two New Officers Following BLET Graduation

The Statesville Police Department is proud to welcome two new officers following Mitchell Community College Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET) graduation ceremony on Thursday, May 21, 2026.

Alexander Johnson and Logan Wilson will begin their careers with the Statesville Police Department after successfully completing the BLET program.

Officer Wilson also received special recognition during the ceremony for earning the Highest GPA in the class and the Highest State Exam Score.

“We are extremely proud of Officers Johnson and Wilson for completing the BLET program and beginning their careers with the Statesville Police Department,” said Chief David Onley. “The dedication and work ethic they demonstrated throughout the academy speaks volumes about their character and commitment to serving our community. We are excited to welcome them to the SPD family and look forward to watching them grow as officers.”
