Bourbon, battles, and balloons. These were the reasons I traveled to Statesville, but not the only reasons. Friendly people, diverse restaurants, outdoor recreation, and local shopping were the highlights. It's the perfect road trip destination at the crossroads of interstate highways and backroads.
