Paxton Byers’s love of music started at a very young age. Growing up with his family’s moving company, he spent a lot of time in a moving truck, listening to a variety of music. “Country, hip-hop, jazz, everything.” Paxton said, as he recalled riding in the truck with his father. Realizing his love for music, he began singing in a church group as a child. He pursued his passion throughout high school, and soon after, began recording his own music at his home.

Paxton, better known as FatboyP, started out performing at bars, and now promotes himself on YouTube. He even created an album in 2019, featuring the song Country Boy. A true country boy himself, Paxton likes to keep things local, using Statesville landmarks in many of his videos. “You gotta keep it close to the house”, says Paxton.
