Originally from Long Island, New York, Nina Priore and Sue O’Malley have been friends since junior high. After both moving to Troutman years ago, they decided to open a business together. “It’s something we’ve always wanted to do since we were kids”, Nina shared. They bought a building on Main Street before even knowing what type of business they were going to open. After giving it some thought, they quickly realized what Troutman was missing – a coffee shop.

Nina shared that, “we wanted everybody in the area to know it is their coffee place”, leading them to the name Your Coffee Place Troutman, which officially opened on December 20, 2021. “We wanted to be the neighborhood gathering place”, Nina said – and they have become just that. With a variety of rooms and spaces, both inside and outside, people visit the coffee shop for social gatherings, painting classes, and even to host small parties.
