What’s a fun way to get to know local leaders? Coloring them! Coloring My Town takes local celebrities like the mayor, school principals, and business owners, and turns them in to fun caricatures in a coloring book. The coloring books are then donated to school-aged kids K-5, and used in the classroom to learn about the community. “We’re all about community”, says Tara Wallace, Regional Sales Director, “it teaches the kids about the leaders”.

Tara works with local schools, chambers, and mayors offices to learn about the town she is creating a book for. She then works with an art director to produce the caricatures and book covers. Having only recently moved to North Carolina, Tara says, “it has been pure joy coming in and meeting the people of Statesville.”
