Last Updated 7/26/2024Posted in Discover Statesville - The Show

Welcome to Discover Statesville! In this episode, we are joined by John and Dylan, our summer interns from UNC Charlotte, as they share insights from their capstone project. John discusses the need for better transportation options, like Uber and Lyft, to boost tourism and support local businesses. Dylan highlights how Statesville's prime location at the crossroads of I-77 and I-40 can attract more visitors.
Get ready for a packed August with events for everyone. From the Piedmont HealthCare Friday After 5 concert series to the Statesville Kids Biz Expo by the Greater Statesville Chamber of Commerce, there's plenty happening. Don’t miss the Iredell Statesville Schools' back-to-school bash at West Iredell High School and the Recreation and Parks Department's end-of-summer bash at Harris Park, both offering free school supplies and activities for kids.

Discover more treasures in Statesville, including the 29th annual Iredell Coin Club event, an end-of-summer s'mores cookout at Lake Norman State Park, and thrilling freestyle stunt riding by Stunt Army at Great Western Motorcycles. Plus, check out the downtown cash mob initiative, N-Spire Band’s all-white party, and Chozen Outdoors' annual banquet and raffle.

A big thank you to John and Dylan for their contributions this summer. Stay tuned as we continue exploring Statesville’s unique experiences, culinary delights, and hidden gems!
